was selected by Harrisburg Mall and spg3 Architects to
provide a variety of engineering services related to
the renovations to the Harrisburg Mall and the addition
of Bass Pro Shops. The
Bass Pro Shops retail complex includes an expansive boat
showroom, large indoor aquariums, water features stocked
with native fish species, and a water feature at the
store entrance. Bass Pro Shops retail stores attract
54 million people a year nationwide.
In order to have Bass Pro Shops ready for the grand
opening in November 2004, CEDG condensed a typical 4-6
month design/approval process into approximately two
months.
Services:
Site design relative to a new Bass Pro Shops facility, including
revised parking layout, coordination with traffic
consultant for Paxton Street improvements, utility
relocation and regulatory agency approvals
Stormwater analysis for the entire site to assess existing problem
areas and provide cost effective solutions
